I met Kelly many years ago, on various roadtrips to various music festivals with various boys in their various bands. I did a lot of youthful drinking with Kelly and when she asked me to shoot her wedding, I knew our no-drinking-at-work policy was in for a test.
I also knew the photos would be absolutely hilarious...
Kelly and Joe chose Castleton in Winham, NH for their ceremony and reception site and elected to do a First Look with us. It was a cool, overcast day and everyone was smiling.
Kelly wore her Grandmother's garter and a beautiful dress from David's. Her party was clad in navy blue and tattoos.
Meanwhile, outside...
Kelly looked uh-mazing.
First Look time!
Their ceremony was BEAUTIFUL. They were wed by their friend John(on his birthday). They combined sand from Revere Beach and Pearly Pond, where they each grew up. They had three beautiful readings: Harmony read "In the Arc of Your Mallet" by Rumi (Sufi poet), Carolyn read "sonnet xvii" by Pablo Neruda and Tim read 1st Corinthians 13. Anne sang a beautiful rendition of In This Heart by Sinead O'Connor. It was divine, there were many tears and everyone had a laugh while Joe left Kelly anxiously waiting for her ring.
We had the most epic wedding party shot ever.
All the details looked amazing!
The Photobooth was a big hit during the cocktail hour. Maid of Honor, Angela and Groomsman Tom model some mustache...
And then it was time to party! Kelly and Joe had their first dance to Patience by Guns N Roses and invited their guests to join them on the floor. The toasts were full of laughs and tears and not long after dinner the hula hoops came out!
It was really fun. Fall on the floor and laugh kind of fun.
We ended the night with a college group shot!
We had a GREAT time. Thanks you Kelly and Joe for allowing us to photograph your wedding, we were honored and we wish you a lifetime of love!
Oh and thanks for screwing up our no-booze-at-work policy.
Here's a slideshow with even more photos!

[Rockstar Family] Moonlighting as Maternity Photographers
When our good friend Katya (whose photo booth we raided the month prior) asked us to do her maternity photos, we couldn't turn her down. First, she's definitely fierce and a rock star in her own right so we knew it would be an awesome time. Second, she told us to do what we want, which is music to our ears. We met in the parking lot of the Sky Lounge on what must have been the coldest, windiest day of Spring ever!! Luckily, being Masters of the Universe ourselves we were able to bend the weather to our will.
Being amateur adventurers, Pam and I decided to swoosh the couple off to one of our favorite field locations in Tiverton R.I. One outfit change later and we were ready to rock! Of course this meant finding the location from memory and we hadn't been there in awhile. Three wrong turns, some almost driving off roads and a rendezvous at Evelyn's Drive In to reorient ourselves and we were good to go.
Pam took this amazing shot of Katya while I was balancing on a rock, holder a reflector, in fifty mile per-hour winds, trying not to experience the life of a kite. Being a daredevil just part of the job description!
With the dress flowing and Katya working it, the shots just kept coming!
As always we love seeing Katya and had a blast doing our little Maternity "fashion" shoot!
